Help Friends of Community Schools
advocate for the preservation and protection of community-centered schools throughout Fairfax County.
The recent closure of Clifton Elementary and the South County Boundary Study, as well as the on-going Annandale Boundary Study highlight the importance that parents, residents and taxpayers throughout the county support community-centered schools for the enhanced well-being of neighborhoods, stable home values and economic vitality of local businesses.
Sound preservation and renovation of schools as anchors for their communities is economically beneficial for the county and the Commonwealth, promotes jobs, healthy communities, and parental involvement in our school system.

The Little Lemonade Stand that Could...
The Annual Labor Day Car Show in Clifton was more than an all-to-swift-end for summer for some Fairfax County students - it was a chance to make a difference and say to all "THIS PLACE MATTERS"!
In order to support efforts to Save Clifton Elementary, several students asked if they could make and sell lemonade and donate
the profits to Friends of Community Schools...
...a huge 'thank you' and acknowledgement go to Sammy Kinter as well as his friends, Hannah & Jackie Ramey and Claudia & Austin Tengesdal, who made and sold the lemonade and earned $500! They donated all the proceeds to aid in the effort to save their school!
If they can do it, YOU can do it! Be a supporter & friend to Friends of Community Schools! Please DONATE today or Become a Sponsor!
