Facilities Planning Advisory Council (FPAC)...
On September 23, 2010, the FCPS School Board appointed 13 citizens - one from each magisterial district, one from the City of Fairfax, and three at-large members - to the newly formed Facilities Planning Advisory Council (FPAC).
- The Comprehensive Planning Development Committee's (CPDC) research led to the decision to create and establish FPAC to provide district-wide comprehensive planning oversight and guidance.
- FPAC may address issues including, but not be limited to: school closures and new schools, student accommodation planning (building additions/modular relocations/ review of school boundaries), school program capacity, enrollment and projections, CIP prioritization, transportation and operating efficiencies related to facilities planning, creative financing and construction strategies, scope of renovations
- Liz Bradsher, Springfield District and chairman of the CPDC, will also serve as the
School Board liaison for the FPAC.
